The Most Talked-About Skin-Renewing Injectable

If you’re a skincare lover, you’ve probably heard about Profhilo; the most talked about skincare injectable. It’s a relatively new injectable treatment, and it’s fast becoming a must-have cosmetic procedure. The injections address signs of ageing and skin laxity and can knock many years off your appearance.

For patients who want to look relaxed and refreshed, Profhilo treatment is becoming one of my most requested treatments.

Of course, there are many effective serums out there, but nothing can match the effects of an injectable. I have to admit, the Profhilo before and after photos are extremely impressive. That’s why so many of my facial aesthetics patients now ask, “What is Profhilo?”

In this article, I’ll explain all aspects of Profhilo, including Profhilo injection points.

What is Profhilo?

Profhilo is an injectable skincare treatment invented in Italy and approved for use in the UK in 2015. It soon won ‘Product Innovation of the Year’ at the 2016 Aesthetics Awards – a prestigious honour.

You can think of Profhilo as an injectable moisturiser. It includes a high concentration of stabilised hyaluronic acid, which addresses skin laxity and crepey, ageing skin. The powerful hyaluronic acid stimulates collagen and elastin production and boosts your skin’s hydration.

Don’t worry about the word ‘acid’ in hyaluronic acid if you have sensitive skin. It’s a type of sugar that our bodies naturally produce and is a gentle, gel-like substance.

Profhilo Before and After – Impressive Results

Profhilo makes my patients look younger, fresher, and more relaxed, improving all three layers of the skin from the inside out.

I use the BAP (bio aesthetic points) technique. This means I inject the product into five key areas on each side of my patients’ faces. The Profhilo injection points are next to the ears, nasolabial folds, at the chin, under the eyes, and finally, at the tops of the cheeks.

How long does it take for Profhilo to work?

After I strategically inject Profhilo into my patient’s skin with a very fine needle, it starts to work immediately. No massaging or compression is necessary, and you don’t have to worry about lumps or bumps forming. It will continue to work and provide benefits 24/7.

You can return to your regular routine immediately, but you should avoid saunas, steam rooms, and strenuous exercise for a few days. Of course, you should always wear SPF. You’ll start to see the benefits within around one week. Your skin will feel more hydrated, smooth, dewy, and plump. Within around four weeks, you’ll see anti-ageing effects, with a more radiant complexion. Your fine lines will start to disappear, and you’ll look and feel your best. Now is the time to take your ‘after’ photos for your Profhilo before and after!

The beneficial effects last for around one year, but many of my patients choose to repeat their treatments once every six months.
